Michael Kelly is Managing Director of Michael Kelly Associates. Known for insightful, thoughtful evaluations and fresh approaches to boards and executive management teams, Mike has collaborated closely with clients across a broad range of industries, leading engagements involving multiple board and executive search around the globe.
The founder of two well-respected retained search firms, he was most recently the head of the Global Board practice and sat on the executive committee of a top 5 Global Executive Search Firm. Mike has served as the Managing Partner of search practices in Board Services and Corporate Governance, Financial Services and Healthcare.
Mike received his BA from The Catholic University of America and pursued graduate work at The New York Institute of Finance. Sought-after for his insights, Mike has appeared on CNBC, Bloomberg News, Fox Business News and has been quoted in the “Wall Street Journal”, “Washington Post”, “The Corporate Board”, “Directorship”, “Business Week”, “American Banker”, and the “Financial Times”. He has also been a guest speaker on numerous panels for industry and business conferences.
A former member of the European Tennis Tour, he now competes in Triathlons and Road Races. Mike will be inducted into the Hall of Athletics for La Salle College High School in September 2021 for his accomplishments. He is an active member of Trinity Church in Asbury Park, NJ and volunteers in the soup kitchen and with fundraising. Mike is also a member of Secession Golf Club.
He is a trustee of the Twin Lights Foundation. The Navesink Twin Lights is a non-operational lighthouse and museum located in Highlands, Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States, overlooking Sandy Hook Bay, the entrance to the New York Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean. Mike is also a member of the Economics Club of New York, and The Links Club.
